Writing music for film and media is a privilege that really inspires me, and it’s a lot of fun! After years of performing, recording, and touring as a singer-songwriter, I decided to go out on a limb, go back to school, and study film-scoring. I moved to Los Angeles where classes at UCLA, private study, score-study groups, along with incredibly talented peers and professionals taught me so much about the exciting and delicate art of film music.
Upon moving back east, I set up a studio and got to work meeting directors, producers, and others involved in the film and media industry. I’ve since written musical compositions for various media formats including documentaries, commercials, public service announcements, thrillers, comedy, opening title montages, and industrials. In 2015 I was proud to have the opportunity to score ACT 3's telly winning film, “Davita RX-What Matters Most.”
In addition to scoring experience, I’ve had the opportunity to compose the theme and bumper music for a TV pilot, as well as having several songs selected for scenes in short films and videos.
I currently host a weekly radio show, “Score And Song-Music In Film & Media,” based out of the Washington, D.C. area on 96.7 FM.
The Composer Reel consists of film clips that cover a musical spectrum of emotion and style.
This short won a 2015 Bronze Telly Award in Pharmaceuticals. The producers requested 7 & 1/2 minutes of "emotional" score to compliment the ebb & flow of a family's journey toward obtaining proper medical care.
These audio files represent additional musical genres that have been composed for film.
